Black screen on vegas 4k project with Ignite Pro

There is a bug (black screen) with some (*), of the Ignite Pro plugins when used when the Vegas (15 or 16) project setting is set to 4k (e.g. via dropping 4K source media as first event or manually setting the properties).

If the plugins are used in a project which is defined as HD (so non 4K) even with 4K source material on the timeline, the plugins work as intended (no black screen).

How to simulate: create a 4K project by dropping a 4K clip on the timeline, next drop one of the plugins (*) on the event, the result is a black screen.

(*) affected plugins: not all plugins have the issue, but the ones below certainly do...

ignite heat distortion, ignite smoke distortion, ignite fluid distortion, and many more etc...

anyone having the same issue?

To the English users, 100% reproducible on my system, with rebooting and all, J-V does not have the issue. Weird.

Unless you have changed the project setting after something is on the timeline, you need to close Vegas and start Vegas up again or it will not properly change the project setting.

Of course I did test it first because you sounded so sure you're not the only one. Then I looked again if I did as you asked to do and I started the same again after I turned on my OBS voor the screencapture.

[Own language] Op mijn laptop staan ook VMS12,13,14 en 15 Pl geïnstalleerd samen met Vegas Pro 12,13,14,15 en 16 en een hoop andere en (hulp) programma's en plugins , wat ik niet allemaal heb op mijn echte werkstation om video's te maken: mijn desktop.
Al die onzinnige plugins van FX Home en New Blue gebruik ik toch nooit. [/Own language] 😁😉

Found the culprit (and it is still 100% reproducible, but I found a work-around). In order to simulate the issue you also need to have INTEL's iGPU enabled in BIOS (whilst having your screen being served by an Nvidea videocard).

If I disable the iGPU in the BIOS of my motherboard, I do not longer have the issue. I will loose QSV, but at least I can use those "onzinnige" (=useless) plugins 😌 again.

Strange, my Intel 630 has the newest drivers and is uptodate with driverversion 23.20.16.4849, checked with the Intel Driver and Support Assistant.

In the mean time I just updated my intel 630 driver to the latest for my CPU: driver version 25.20.100.6373, and guess what, my problem is gone. I can now use the plugins in a 4K project whilst having iGPU enabled in BIOS. Normally I keep my graphic drivers always up to date, that is to say the nvidea one, as I do not use the iGPU (nothing is connected to it), these driver updates get neglected, but you see you cannot neglect a single piece of IT without paying the price at some point!

I have a similar issue with all my Ignite FX (I have Ignite Express and HitFilm Express installed), but when trying to apply the effect it doesn't work at all, and makes the video clip turn into a black screen or it gets replaced with a static image of something else from the timeline that flickers. This also carries on into the actual rendering of the file.
The project is 1440x1080p using files that are the same resolution. Some days the FX in the projects will work, then randomly in some other projects they don't, then the next session none of them will work.
Should I start a thread for this issue?
I have contacted HitFilm about their plug-in, but their troubleshooting suggestions were only a temp fix, and I haven't got any other response from Magix other than "Contact HitFilm" 😫....
